The eighth Liverpool International Tennis tournament takes place at Calderstones park this week. Amongst the competing players is Robin Soderling, the man who recently ended Rafael Nadal's unbeaten run in the French Open.

Scheduled to run over five days, rain unfortunately forced yesterday's action to end almost before it had begun. Today's forecast is more promising, and the future is even brighter still for sports fans in the region. Click for more details
